The Attendance Sheet Ends Before Dismissal

The Attendance Sheet Ends Before Dismissal

The attendance sheet is the last routine document in the school’s file. It lists morning marks for the classrooms, then ends before the dismissal period described elsewhere in the record. I’m preserving that blank as a timeline gap; filling it with a guess would make the page look more complete than the evidence is.

A routine page, then nothing

The surviving sheet has classroom headings, handwritten marks, and a note about an absent student near the bottom margin. No dismissal check follows, and there is no second page attached. The paper itself offers no reason for the record to stop there.

The official version leaves room

Other filed accounts place the school’s disappearance after the day had begun, but they do not establish what happened in each classroom before it. The attendance page cannot confirm who remained in the building or when anyone left. It only shows where the written record stops—and that point does not line up neatly with the later accounts.

Keep the gap visible

I’ve placed the sheet before the later photo and video records in the timeline, without assigning it a more precise time than the page supports. If a dismissal register or another classroom copy appears, it can be added beside this entry and checked against the existing sequence. Until then, the missing part of the day stays missing.
